Saks Off 5th, Last Call properties hit the market — here's where

Saks Off 5th
Saks Global declared bankruptcy in January, and has since decided to shrink its off-price store division.

The recent bankruptcy filing of luxury retail company Saks Global is bringing fresh space to the commercial real estate market.

A&G Real Estate Partners is now considering offers for 54 Saks Off 5th and five Last Call locations, spanning 19 states and totaling 1.7 million sq. ft. (a full list of locations can be found at the end of the article.) The stores are located in high-traffic locations such as premium outlet destinations, open-air lifestyle centers, traditional malls and mixed-use properties.

Last month, Saks Global, which declared bankruptcy on Jan. 14, said that following a thorough review of its off-price business, it decided to close the majority (57) of its Saks Off 5th locations and all five Last Call stores. (Last Call is the clearance division of Neiman Marcus.)

Closing sales at the Saks Off 5th stores that are going dark and all remaining Last Call stores began on Saturday, Jan. 31, with the closings subject to certain approvals in the Chapter 11 process.

"The 59 Saks Off 5th stores average 28,000 sq. ft., making 1.7 million square feet of space available for lease in a tight market for retail space," said Emilio Amendola, co-president of A&G and leader of its real estate sales division. "These larger spaces are a strong fit for expanding brands in categories like footwear, sporting goods and off-price fashion and accessories. Landlords also are showing strong interest in taking back and repurposing these boxes.”
