Betty Castro, who directed Cushman & Wakefield’s Manhattan office leasing for the past three years, has moved into a similar role in retail leasing with Ripco Real Estate.

Castro, who has 30 years of experience in sales and strategic development, will focus on revenue growth and recruiting for the brokerage’s Manhattan and Brooklyn properties.

“Her close relationships with brokerage professionals and clients as well as her expertise in strategic business plans will help attract additional team members,” said Ripco COO Mark Kaplan.

Castro is president of the New York Commercial Real Estate Women and has four times been named to Star Network’s lists of Powerful Women in Queens and Brooklyn.

“I like having a seat at the table and was instantly drawn to Ripco’s collaborative culture and sense of loyalty and comradery,” Castro said.
