Whole Foods to open at Bella Terra
Huntington Beach, Calif. Whole Foods Market said Tuesday that it is opening a new store at Bella Terra, an open-air retail destination in Huntington Beach, Calif.
Whole Foods will open in the 32,000-sq.-ft. former Circuit City Space.
“Bella Terra is a great retail space with a wide variety of stores and outdoor venues for the community to enjoy. This location, with its easy access and visibility is an ideal choice for us to introduce Whole Foods Market to the Huntington Beach neighborhood,” said Patrick Bradley, president, Southern Pacific Region, Whole Foods Market.
Whole Foods is working on a new plan for the building exterior that complements the overall architecture of Bella Terra, as well as redesigning the interior space.
The new store is slated for completion in fall 2010.
Bella Terra is an 800,000-sq.-ft. retail center set on 44 acres with more than 70 shops and restaurants. It is a central component of the larger 70-acre Bella Terra mixed-use, urban lifestyle district assembled by DJM Capital Partners.
The district includes a neighboring 428,244-sq.-ft. office complex that the company acquired and has repositioned as The Towers at Bella Terra and the planned development of The Village at Bella Terra.
