Westfield introduces style lounge and personal stylists on demand

5/2/2012

Los Angeles -- Westfield announced that its Westfield Style fashion program is launching personal styling services on demand at select Westfield centers in May.

The focal point of the new offering is the Westfield Style Lounge, a dedicated space in the mall where professional stylists will provide free personalized style consultations for shoppers. Additionally, shoppers can get advice on demand right from their mobile phone via the new Ask A Stylist service. Shoppers e-mail a photo of their look to the on-call stylist for an instant response.

The Westfield Style Lounge and Ask A Stylist is staffed by experts from Style for Hire—a network of personal stylists trained by Co-founder and Stylist-in-Chief Stacy London, host of TLC’s What Not To Wear, frequent contributor on NBC’s Today Show and Creative Director for Westfield Style.

The Westfield Style Lounge provides an intimate environment within the Westfield shopping center where fashion secrets and customized style recommendations are available to all shoppers who simply walk-up to the Style Lounge, make appointments in advance on the Westfield Mobile App (for iPad, Android, or Blackberry), or via westfieldstylelounge.com.

"I am truly passionate about my partnership with Westfield," said London. "The purpose of the new Westfield Style Lounge is nothing less than to revolutionize and personalize the modern-day shopping experience. With instantaneous feedback and professional fashion advice available to shoppers on demand, Westfield is providing women of all ages, lifestyles, and body shapes with the tools and techniques to shop smarter, develop supreme style self-confidence, and find the absolute perfect looks for them.”

During the Westfield Style Lounge visit, a Style for Hire stylist helps each shopper assess her own individual wardrobe desires and style objectives—all customized to her own body type, personal taste, and budget. “The goal is to help the Westfield shopper overcome fashion fears, become a trendsetting fashionista in her own right, and most important—love the way she looks,” said Lee Sterling, VP marketing – Fashion Platform for Westfield.

The Westfield Style Lounge experience will debut at three Westfield shopping centers: Westfield Garden State Plaza and Westfield Trumbull (in the New York DMA), and Westfield Montgomery (in the Washington D.C., DMA). The lounges will operate for approximately 20 hours each week during peak business hours. Later in the year, the program will be expanded to additional Westfield shopping centers in national markets.
