Wayside to see new tenant openings as part of revitalization
Boston -- The Wilder Cos. announced that Ethan Allen and Starbucks, along with Potbelly Sandwich Shop, will open at Wilder’s Wayside property in Boston – all part of a multi-phase revitalization project.
Ethan Allen will occupy 12,272 sq. ft. in the lower level of the former Borders location. The store will have a major presence on the upper level as well, with an entrance between L.L. Bean and the new Seasons 52 restaurant. Starbucks will take a high-visibility endcap location in 1,589 sq. ft. next to Coldstone Creamery. Potbelly Sandwich Shop will open its fourth Massachusetts location in 1,946 sq. ft. this spring.
The opening of Ethan Allen will complete the transformation of the former Borders location into two large format spaces. Seasons 52 will open its first location in the Boston market with an upper-level location.
Other recent additions to Wayside include November 2012 openings of Destination Maternity (2,509 sq. ft.) and Madox Jewelry (1,500 sq. ft.)
This spring Wayside’s revitalization work will continue with the completion of the parking reconfiguration and improved pedestrian flow, along with enhancements to the center island including new plantings, a reconfigured walkway, and new seating and leisure areas. “These improvements combined with the increased shopping and dining choices will provide more options and greater convenience to Wayside shoppers,” said Wilder’s VP leasing, Gary Robinson.
