Waterfront village to be renovated

8/25/2009

Patchogue, N.Y. Levin Management Corp. said Friday that Patchogue, a waterfront village in Suffolk County, N.Y., is being renovated, and the accompanying 24,000-sq.-ft. downtown retail property will be part of the renaissance.

Levin is the property’s exclusive managing and leasing agent.

The upgrade, slated for completion by the end of 2009, will also be the basis of a repositioning of the property's tenant roster. Family Dollar, We The People, a national system of legal document preparation stores, and a bagel store already do business there, according to Levin.

“Our 11,700-sq.-ft. availability, right in the Patchogue Theatre District, calls for Main Street uses. Retailers, professional services or a restaurant all make sense here," said Jason Frantzman, Levin leasing representative.

Downtown Patchogue serves three distinct market groups: local residents, visitors drawn to the Patchogue Theatre District, and visitors who come for the ferry connection to Fire Island.

Facade improvements will in part be completed with the help of two grants from the New York State Main Street Grant Fund and the approval of the Patchogue Business Improvement District.
