Walgreens opens in Sarasota, Fla.

Moreland Hills, Ohio Heritage Development Co. said that Walgreens has opened its new store at The Centre at University Parkway in Sarasota, Fla.

Walgreens relocated from an in-line store at the center to a “new” larger store in an outparcel. The store features a new design and a double drive-thru.

The new Walgreens completes the first phase of a three-phase redevelopment plan for the center. Phase II will consist of Wal-Mart expanding its current store to a Super Center and the final phase will be a facelift to the remaining center.

The project is slated for completion within 18 months.
