Walgreens opens at Cherokee South Plaza
Overland Park, Kan. Westchester, Ill.-based Tri-Land Properties announced Friday that a 14,820-sq.-ft. freestanding Walgreens anchor has opened at Cherokee South Plaza in Overland Park, Kan.
The 118,000-sq.-ft. shopping center is owned by Tri-Land.
Tri-Land’s redevelopment of Cherokee South includes the complete demolition of one building, the construction of three new buildings and the addition of many new retail tenants including Kansas Sample, Hallmark Cards, Golf-Tec, Cherokee Liquors, H&R Block, Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, Paul Mitchell School, and several local and regional retail and service providers.
The redeveloped Cherokee South Plaza will also include outdoor patios, tree-lined walkways, sidewalk planters and public spaces for neighborhood use.
The project is scheduled for a summer 2010 completion.
