Urban Retail names executives

Chicago Urban Retail Properties announced Tuesday strategic changes to a number of key executive roles within the company.

According to Urban, the staff changes focus the shopping center developer more directly on the financial aspects of the business.

Craig Delasin has been promoted to managing director. In his new position, he will focus on overseeing the day-to-day corporate operations and client relations for the company. He was most recently president, director of leasing for Urban Retail.

David Jackson has joined Urban Retail as executive VP - acquisitions and will focus on strategic planning, new business development, acquisitions and finance.

Also joining Urban as senior advisor, Howard Stone will aid in the areas of operations, strategic planning and new business.

Paul D. Motta, a 17-year veteran of the company, has been promoted to director of leasing and will oversee all property leasing for the company’s retail portfolio.

Sean O’Malley has joined Urban Retail in the role of director of new business.

Charles May II has been named director of development for Urban Retail and is responsible for the economic performance and execution of all new development projects, repositioned projects, ground-up developments and third-party developments, both domestically and internationally.

Also joining Urban Retail as senior leasing representative is Daven Ritter.
