New York -- Uniqlo will open its first Pennsylvania store on May 16, at King of Prussia Mall, in King of Prussia. In the fall, the Japanese retailer will open a flagship in downtown Philadelphia. The openings are part of the brand’s 2014 U.S. expansion efforts, including openings in new cities and the surrounding regions of Philadelphia, Boston and Los Angeles, and more store openings in Northern California, Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.
Uniqlo has opened a pop-up store in King of Prussia Mall, which will remain open through April 27. The temporary store will feature a rotating selection of Uniqlo apparel.
“We are incredibly excited to continue our expansion into the Pennsylvania area,” said Larry Meyer, Uniqlo USA CEO and Fast Retailing group senior VP. “We are always looking to grow the Uniqlo brand and our customer base, and there is no better way to do that than to bring the Uniqlo experience to more and more people throughout the United States.”
Uniqlo has more than 1,200 stores around the globe, with17 stores in the United States.
