Two Madison Marquette officials earn ICSC state directorships

Washington, D.C. -- Madison Marquette announced Thursday that two of its senior professionals, John-david Franklin (who will represent Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New Jersey) and Chuck Taylor (who will represent Florida), have been selected as State Directors by the International Council of Shopping Centers.



The volunteer positions are granted annually to industry leaders who are seen to display unique dedication to ICSC goals and mission.



Franklin is based in Philadelphia and serves as senior VP of leasing for Madison Marquette. As a member of ICSC for 31 years, Franklin has been actively involved with a number of industry matters including work with ICSC’s government relations group. This group worked to support the Marketplace Fairness Act and Marketplace Equity Act considered by Congress. He also currently serves as a member of the ICSC 2012 Strategic Leadership Summit in Washington. Additionally, Franklin has taught at ICSC’s University of Shopping Centers and served as Dean of the School of Leasing in 2011. He is also a faculty member for the ICSC program, “Debt Workout, Transactions and Repositioning of Distresses Assets.



Taylor is a senior VP of Madison Marquette, responsible for leasing the company’s Florida property portfolio. As a member of ICSC since 1983, Taylor has served on numerous ICSC committees including a current position with the national ICSC Certified Shopping Center Management Committee. Taylor is also a co-chairman of the 2012 Florida Conference and a past Florida Government Relations chairman and past president of the Florida Shopping Center Political Action Committee.
