Trendy food options liven up North Dallas center

10/16/2017
The re-making of Preston Royal Village in North Dallas is being headlined by two gustatory giants of the day.

Shake Shack and Eatzi will play a role familiar to both at the corner of Preston and Royal in North Dallas, infusing culinary cachet into what was for years a local, necessity-based shopping center. Both open this month.

“The intersection hasn’t seen this much newness since 2012 when specialty grocer Central Market claimed the space left by Borders Bookstore on the southeast corner in the Preston Oaks shopping center,” said a report of the makeover on the website of the Dallas Morning News.

Sur La Table will open at the center in November for North Dallas residents looking to ratchet up their home cooking. Also debuting at Preston Royal Village next month are apparel retailers Kittsona and Roam by Gypsy Wagon. Pop-up shops like Cousin Earl and The Cashmere Sale are part of Edens’ new curation of the center, as well.

"Preston Royal is the living room of this community and we know how important that is to Preston Hollow and the surrounding neighborhoods," said Edens Managing Director Tom Kiler.

The 230,000-sq.-ft. Preston Royal Village is one of 20 Texas properties owned by Edens.
