Construction has begun on a 12-building, mixed-use project that will rise up over a space of 10 years on the banks of the Lehigh River in Allentown, Pa.
The Waterfront, a $425 million project of Jaindl Enterprises, will include five Class A office buildings, 554 residential units, and 165,000-sq.-ft. of first-floor retail and restaurant, according to CBRE, which is handling leasing.
“We are thrilled to have been retained by Jaindl Enterprises as the exclusive leasing agent for this historic, transformative project,” said CBRE VP Jody King. “The Waterfront will be a groundbreaking, vibrant, 24-hour community in the heart of the Lehigh Valley.”
To be built in two phases, with the first retail locations expected to be delivered in 2021, the 26-acre Waterfront site formerly housed the Lehigh Structural Steel Company in Allentown, in Pennsylvania’s third largest city.
The property is 55 minutes from Philadelphia and 90 minutes from New York City with easy access to Routes 22 and 78.
