Tesco opens U.K.’s first all self-service shop
New York City Tesco has opened Britain's first entirely self-service shop. The new Tesco Express, in Kingsley, Northampton, has a total of five self-scan checkouts overseen by a single staff member. There are no manned checkouts.
It is described by the company as an “assisted service store' designed to increase efficiency and speed up the shopping process, the Daily Mail reported.
