Taylor Gourmet Deli coming to CityVista

Columbia, S.C. Edens & Avant said Tuesday that Italian hoagie purveyor Taylor Gourmet Deli is opening a second Washington D.C., location, at CityVista in Mount Vernon Triangle. The new shop is slated to open early in 2010.

Taylor Gourmet Deli will join recently announced Kushi, a Japanese izakaya-style restaurant opening at the center in the fall. Edens & Avant, an urban-focused retail real estate company, owns the retail portion of CityVista, which encompasses 116,000 sq. ft. of the 843,000-sq.-ft. project.

Anchored by an Urban Lifestyle Safeway, the mixed-use development is characterized by unique retailers geared toward the surrounding neighborhoods.

“If you live or work in Mount Vernon Triangle, you expect your retail and restaurants to be creative, where the experience is as well crafted as the product,” said Steve Boyle, Edens & Avant managing director. “Taylor is a great example of our vision for CityVista, which is to deliver something different and innovative that showcases the local restaurant and retail expertise.”
