Target opens 26 new stores

Minneapolis Target Corp. announced Tuesday it is opening 26 stores and creating 5,000 new jobs. All 26 stores will celebrate grand openings on Oct. 11, according to the company.

Twenty-one locations are general merchandise stores, 18 of which have expanded food options. Five locations are full-grocery SuperTarget stores. The new stores encompass 13 states, from Alaska to Florida.
