Target to open more clinics

Minneapolis Target Corp. announced Wednesday that it will open eight new Target Clinic locations in early September -- five in Chicago and three in Palm Beach, Calif.

The company first introduced Target Clinic in 2006. It currently operates 28 locations in Minnesota and Maryland.

The clinics, which operate within Target retail stores, offer on-the-spot treatment for minor illnesses and minor injuries, vaccinations, and tests and screenings. They are staffed by nurse practitioners.
