Target to open in downtown Seattle

New York City Target Corp. has purchased office and retail space in a 24-story condo tower in downtown Seattle and plans to open a store there, according to The Seattle Times.

The 103,000-sq.-ft.  commercial space known as Pike Plaza encompasses three stories. A spokeswoman for Target told the Times it will be at least a year before the store opens.
