Stirling to develop Walgreens in Ruston, La.

Covington, La. Stirling Properties said Wednesday it is developing a full-service Walgreens in Ruston, La.

The store is slated to open in third quarter 2010 with construction to begin this fall. Plans for the store call for 13,650 sq. ft. of retail space with a single-lane drive-through pharmacy window.

Construction is currently under way on four additional Walgreens stores in Lafayette, Kenner, Meraux and Denham Springs, La., with anticipated openings in late 2009 or early 2010.

Stirling Properties is the preferred developer for Walgreens in the Gulf South with the Ruston store being the 21st store Stirling has developed for the retailer.
