Steve Madden and Trebbianno lease19 West 34th
New York — Steve Madden and Trebbianno have signed long-term leases totaling more than 60,000 sq. ft. at 19 West 34th Street, also known as the Martin Building, in New York City.
Steve Madden is taking the entire fifth floor and part of the fourth and eighth floors and will use approximately 40,000 sq. ft. of the 14-story building. The space will serve as one of Steve Madden’s corporate offices and showrooms.
Trebbianno has leased the entire 20,000-sq.-ft. seventh floor and will also use the space for offices and a showroom for its accessories collection.
Both leases follow major capital improvements made to the building by owner PRD Realty Corp., a commercial and residential developer, owner and management company.
The renovation includes a redesigned lobby, which is now adorned with slab-to-slab limestone and travertine stone imported from Italy, walnut wood panels and Flos LED light fixtures, creating an upscale, modern look. In addition, the renovation includes the installation of three new high-speed passenger elevators, over-sized and operable windows and a new Class E fire alarm system.
The building also hosts Banana Republic’s flagship store.
