The marquee players at retail centers these days are often entertainment brands. City Foundry STL has announced three that will headline the opening of its first phase in St. Louis next year.
Anchoring this renovation of the 89-year-old Century Electric Foundry will be a 10-screen Alamo Draft House, Punch Bowl Social (an “eatertainment” brand), and the German Bierhalle-inspired Hassler Hall. Also on hand for the debut of the $185 million first phase will be what developer Lawrence Group claims will be the first true food hall in St. Louis, offering up selection from 20 different providers.
“We look forward to adding more first-to-market retailers, restaurants, and office users to further establish City Foundry STL as a project that honors the significance of this site and the renaissance of Midtown St. Louis,” said Lawrence Group CEO Steve Smith.
City Foundry STL’s first phase promises 122,000 sq. ft. of restaurant and entertainment space, some 105,000 sq. ft. of shops, and 111,000 sq. ft. of offices, according to CBRE, which is handling leasing for the property.
