Sky Foods, Five Guys, Golden Jaguar and Payless to open at Sky View Center

Flushing, N.Y. Onex Real Estate Partners, owner/developer of Sky View Parc, announced that Sky View Center, the 800,000-sq.-ft. shopping center at Sky View Parc in Flushing, N.Y., has signed tenant leases so far this year for over 45,000 sq. ft. and is now over 75% leased.

With new stores such as Bob’s Discount Furniture, BJ’s Wholesale Club and Best Buy already opened at the multi-level retail center, the shopping destination has added Sky Foods Supermarket, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Golden Jaguar buffet, and Payless ShoeSource to its roster of tenants, which also includes soon-to-be opened Target, Marshall’s, Applebee’s, Old Navy, Chuck E. Cheese, and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

With a planned spring 2011 opening, Sky Foods organic grocer will occupy over 33,500 sq. ft. of space. Five Guys has signed a lease for 2,000 sq. ft. for what is the burger chain’s third Queens location.

Opening its first store in New York, Golden Jaguar, a high-end Asian buffet restaurant, has signed a lease for 7,200 sq. ft. on the restaurant level.

“With new stores continuing to open and the announcement of these new leases, we expect to see even greater interest from national retailers who want establish a presence in this amazing retail hub,” said John Hanlon of Ripco Real Estate Corp. which served as sole broker on all four transactions.  

Sky View Parc is the residential portion of the project consisting of six luxury condominium towers and a rooftop park.
