ShopRite opens at Chesapeake Square Shopping Center
Glen Burnie, Md. ShopRite said it has opened an 85,000-sq.-ft. store at Chesapeake Square Shopping Center, in Glen Burnie, Md.
The store, which celebrated a grand opening on Oct. 12, opened in a former K-Mart space, and is the first ShopRite store to service Anne Arundel County.
The grocer will feature an online shopping service, as well as a WiFi lounge with soft seating and a fireplace.
Because of its energy-saving initiatives, ShopRite of Glen Burnie qualified for significant incentives and was awarded a $380,000 rebate for energy design from the BGE Smart Energy savers program. The overall HVAC, lighting and refrigeration systems represent state-of-the-art design that will result in reduced energy consumption.
