Shaw’s reopens Maine location

5/15/2009

W. Bridgewater, Mass. Shaw’s Supermarket said it reopened its Sanford, Maine-based grocery store on Friday.

The store, an anchor in the city’s Center for Shopping, is a 64,000-sq.-ft. space that features traditional grocery categories, as well as such specialty shops as its Wild Harvest department that features natural and organic merchandise, a fresh salad bar and a Bargain Bin that offers discounted merchandise.

The store also expanded its fleet of self-checkout point-of-sale units.

“We strive to tailor our stores to fit the community,” said Shaw’s president Larry Wahlstrom. “This remodel brings greater selection and variety to Sanford and surrounding towns.”
