Shake Shack reopens New York flagship May 20

5/18/2015

New York – Shake Shack Inc. is reopening its original Madison Square Park flagship restaurant in New York on May 20. The new and improved Shake Shack store has the exact same look and feel, rebuilt to last for many years to come.

Shake Shack has also teamed up with Boundless Brooklyn to create a 100% recycled chipboard replica of the Madison Square Park Shack, made to-scale from the 2015 architectural renderings of the store. The first 100 guests in line will receive a free commemorative model of the Madison Square Park Shack, and the model kits will also be available to purchase on-site.

“When Shake Shack renewed our lease with the City of New York, we committed to a complete renovation to restore the original Shack and prepare for the decade to come,” said Shake Shack CEO, Randy Garutti. “After more than seven months of complete renovation, we couldn’t be more excited to reopen and continue to serve as a community gathering place for New Yorkers and visitors alike.”
