Saks to anchor new Westchester, N.Y., shopping center

Las Vegas Cleveland-based Forest City Ratner Cos. said Monday on the trade show floor at ICSC’s RECon 2009, that Saks Fifth Avenue will anchor Ridge Hill, the developer’s mixed-use shopping center in Westchester, N.Y. The center is currently under construction.

The 80,000-sq.-ft. store will be two levels and feature its usual assortment of apparel collections from high-end designers, as well as accessories, cosmetics and gifting merchandise.

The new store is the first Saks location in the county.

The new shopping center will also feature approximately 1.2 million sq. ft. of retail space and will host other retailers such as Banana Republic, L.L. Bean and a Cinema De Lux, a multiplex cinema operated by National Amusements.

The open-air mall will also feature approximately 150,000 sq. ft. of office space, and a residential component of 1,000 apartments.
