Round 1 headed for vacated Macy’s in Louisville

5/18/2018
CBL announced that redevelopment has begun in a former Macy’s store at Jefferson Mall in Louisville to make way for a Round1 Bowling & Amusement location.

“We are excited to open our store in the Jefferson Mall. This will be our first establishment in the state of Kentucky,” said Round1 senior VP Shane Kaji.

Founded in Japan in 1980, where it has more than 100 locations, Round1 opened its first United States store eight years ago in Industry, Calif. It now fields 21 locations in the U.S. providing bowling, arcade games, karaoke, billiards, and food and drinks.

“The addition of Round1 will position Jefferson Mall as a premier entertainment destination for our customers in the Louisville market and will draw visitors from the surrounding region,” said CBL president and CEO Stephen Lebovitz.

Lebovitz added that a mix of dining, entertainment, and retail is planned for the redevelopment of the vacated Sears building at Jefferson Mall.
