More retail headed for Brooklyn’s Bushwick section
The residential overflow from Brooklyn’s storied Williamsburg section is spilling into neighboring Bushwick.
Two large-scale housing projects are underway at the Rheingold Brewery and Pfizer development sites. In between the two sits the old Globe Exchange Bank Building, which is undergoing a renovation that will feature new retail space on the street level.
"The Globe Exchange Bank Building is undergoing an intensive renovation that is paying homage to the building's rich history, including the full restoration of the double-height retail space on the ground floor," said Faith Hope Consolo, whose Worldwide Leasing team at Douglas Elliman will be seeking the new tenants.
In close proximity to the building are Modell’s, Walgreens, Footlocker, Planet Fitness, Crunch Fitness, and Bushwick CrossFit.
