After more than a decade of stumbles and three owners, American Dream, New Jersey’s answer to Mall of America and the West Edmonton Mall, is set to open this October.

Come October 25, guests will be able to ride The Shredder and The Shellraiser at American Dream’s Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park. Also opening on that day is the center’s ice-skating rink.

Triple 5, the Ghermezian family development company that built Mall of America, West Edmonton Mall and the 3 million-sq.-ft. American Dream complex, announced that the expansive retail and shopping districts of the center, which is next to MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands (East Rutherford, New Jersey) will not be open for business until March of 2020.

The DreamWorks water park, which features the world’s largest wave pool at 1.5 acres will open on November 27. Big Snow, an indoor ski slope, is set to open on December 5.

Retail brands to be housed at American Dream will range from fast-fashion (Zara, H&M, Primark) to high-fashion (Hermès, Yves Saint Laurent, Tiffany & Co.). The center also promises 100 different dining choices along with entertainment options including Legoland and Sea Life Aquarium.
