Regency redevelops Willston Centre II

Falls Church, Va. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said Tuesday it has begun the redevelopment of Willston Centre II to include the expansion of Safeway and upgraded center facade and amenities.

Safeway will add 38% more space by demolishing its existing 42,491-sq.-ft. store and reconstruct an expanded 58,544-sq.-ft. store. The newly renovated store is slated to open in the fall.

In addition to the Safeway expansion, Regency said it will renovate the center with a new exterior facade, upgraded architectural components, new signage, lighting and parking lot improvements. Businesses will remain open during the renovations. Falls Church
