Baltimore Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers announced it has begun a $7 million redevelopment of Southside Marketplace, a 125,146-sq.-ft. neighborhood center in Baltimore anchored by Shoppers Food Warehouse.
The renovations include a redevelopment of Shoppers Food Warehouse and upgraded center facade and amenities.

Shoppers Food Warehouse will remain open during their store renovation, which has already begun and is slated for completion in November,” said Alan Roth, senior VP, Regency Centers.
In addition, Regency will renovate the center with a new exterior facade, upgraded architectural components, new pedestrian plaza, signage, lighting, landscaping and parking lot improvements. All retailers will remain open during the center upgrades, which are scheduled for completion in May 2011.
