Regency Centers launches construction of Village at Lee Airport
Edgewater, Md. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers said Friday it has started construction at Village at Lee Airport shopping center, in Edgewater, Md., near Annapolis.
Village at Lee Airport is slated to open in late 2010 and will feature 196,803 sq. ft. of space for retailers, restaurants and service businesses including a 62,911 sq.-ft. Giant Food. The center will open with additional tenants including Panera Bread, Hong Kong Express and Subway.
The project will also include a 75,000-sq.-ft. residential component.
Additionally, Regency said it is implementing a number of environmental site design elements throughout the neighborhood center including an extended detention shallow wetland, organic filters, infiltration trenches and sustainable operating practices to ensure that Village at Lee Airport is environmentally sound
