Regency Centers completes redevelopment at Willston Centre II
Falls Church, Va. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Regency Centers has announced the opening of a newly constructed and expanded Safeway at Willston Centre II in Falls Church, Va.
The store will open on Sept. 10.
“Safeway has expanded from 42,491 sq. ft. to 55,000 sq. ft. The original store was demolished in January and is now reconstructed in the modernized lifestyle format,” said Alan Roth, Regency Centers’ senior VP. “In addition to the Safeway expansion, Regency has renovated the balance of Willston Centre II with a new exterior facade, upgraded architectural components, new signage, lighting and parking lot improvements.”
Willston Centre II was originally constructed in 1986 and Regency Centers acquired the 127,449-sq.-ft. center in 2005.
