Red Rose Commons refinanced, actively leasing

Lancaster, Pa. The Goldenberg Group and Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust announced the $24.9 million refinancing of jointly owned Red Rose Commons, a 463,000-sq.-ft. open-air retail center on Fruitville Pike in Lancaster, Pa.

One of Lancaster County’s largest shopping centers, Red Rose Commons, opened in 1998 and features Home Depot, Barnes & Noble and Weis Markets.

In addition, Hhgregg Appliances and Electronics has signed a 32,000-sq.-ft. lease at Red Rose Commons beginning in April 2010, marking the chain’s first East Coast store opening.

Hhgregg is occupying the space vacated by Circuit City.
