San Diego Shopping center and retail industry recruitment firms Roberta Rea + Co. and Silverman & Associates Executive Search said they will officially merge on Feb. 1 to create ShopTheJobs.com.

The new entity will combine executive search services with a job posting and career site for retail and shopping center professionals.

The site also features a Web library with information and commentary on industry trends, online resources and applications designed to assist candidates prepare for their next position.

“Both the shopping center and retail industries are in the midst of revolutionary changes in the way they assess, source and recruit talent,” said co-president Beth Silverman.

Potential employers register for a free account and can purchase a variety of job posting packages, including 30-day plans and 60-day plans. Human resources executives can update, edit or remove postings at will, while one click will bring them to job applicants. Premium Online Posting creates maximum exposure for hard-to-fill positions, and the site’s Job Wrapping service posts, manages and refreshes job listings seamlessly.

Candidates can upload resumes and access listings, as well as gain assistance with resume preparation.
