6/8/2010

Beverly Hills, Calif. Primestor Development will open its Plaza Pacoima shopping center on Saturday in Los Angeles. This development will bring 790 jobs to the community.

The 343,000-sq.-ft. center is located on a 28-acre site. The $78 million project, anchored by Lowe’s, Costco and Best Buy, also includes 4,000 sq. ft. of retail, restaurant and office space.

Plaza Pacoima is being built on the site of the former Price Pfister plumbing fixtures manufacturing facility.

The center will seek a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Sustainable features include on-site storm-water retention, shaded pedestrian routes, and lush perimeter and parking lot landscaping.
