Plaza at Preston Center to unveil new tenants, expansion
Dallas -- Venture Commercial said Monday that The Plaza at Preston Center, in Dallas, will see the Texas debuts of Sprinkles Ice Cream and True Food Kitchen this spring, and international retailers LUBLU Kira Plastinina and Aftershock London have selected The Plaza for their flagship U.S. stores.
Venture, which serves as the exclusive broker for the lifestyle center located in the heart of the Park City neighborhood, also said that Sprinkles Cupcakes and Calypso St. Barth are expanding and/or relocating their stores at The Plaza.
“The Plaza at Preston Center has undergone some major changes over the past year, with the construction of the new five-story mixed-use building and the addition of the University Park Library, Cambridge Holdings and Morgan Stanley to its upper floors,” said Mike Geisler, founding partner of Venture Commercial.
LUBLU Kira Plastinina will make its American debut in late June with a 1,096-sq.-ft. store on the ground floor of the new building, and Aftershock London will open its flagship U.S. store on May 9 in 1,850 sq. ft.
Sprinkles Ice Cream, an extension of the Sprinkles Cupcakes brand, will open in a 1,135-sq.-ft. space adjacent to the cupcake store in June. This will be Sprinkles Ice Cream’s third location in the country and its first location outside of southern California. Sprinkles Cupcakes will also add its cupcake ATM this summer.
Calypso St. Barth is combining its fashion and home stores into a single lifestyle store. The new 3,173-sq.-ft. space between Taco Diner and R+D Kitchen opens Apr. 11.
Dallas jewelry maker Matthew Trent, another exclusive Plaza tenant, will return to his original location in a larger, 1,600-sq.-ft. space on the ground level of the new building.
Last September The Plaza announced that True Food Kitchen will open its first Texas location in a 4,419-sq.-ft. space late this summer.
In addition, Bag’n Baggage has opened in a 3,419-sq.-ft. space between Bachendorf’s and E Trade Financial.
With these new additions and expansions, The Plaza is nearly 100% leased.
