Opus Development names retail development exec

Minneapolis -- Opus Development Corp. announced that John Gelderman has been hired as senior VP national retail development.



In his new position, Gelderman will lead the current Opus retail team, oversee all existing retail development and will be responsible for seeking all new retail development opportunities across the country.



He has worked with Pepsico – Taco Bell, Caribou Coffee, CSM Corp., Opus Northwest, L.L.C., and is currently with his own consulting firm, JFG Retail Real Estate Advisors, where he has worked with a number of retail clients and is just finishing development on the Frogtown Square mixed-use retail and apartment project located in St. Paul.
