Daytona Beach, Florida - One Daytona, the proposed mixed-use and entertainment destination across from Daytona International Speedway in east Central Florida, began early site work November 24, according to joint-venture owners International Speedway Corp. and Jacoby Development. The work underway includes phase one infrastructure improvements by P&S Paving.
Phase one includes site development, drainage and underground utility work. “Breaking ground on One Daytona is an exciting day for us and really speaks to the future of this destination,” said ISC CEO Lesa France Kennedy. “We are encouraged by the market and enthusiasm in the Daytona Beach area.”
"Our anchors see the coming of age of the regional Daytona Beach market and the project has caught the interest of a core and influential group of retail, entertainment and dining players," added Jacoby Development President Scott Condra.
Phase one of One Daytona is scheduled to open with Bass Pro Shops, Cobb Theatres’ ‘Daytona Theatre’, an exclusive 145-room full-service boutique hotel, a select service hotel, plus shopping, office space and residential units.
