Olshan reports good start for 2017

5/24/2017

Among several developers reporting positive signs for leasing at the RECon Show in Las Vegas was Olshan Properties.

Head of Retail Ken Marshall said media reports about retail’s downfall did not ring true at his company. “The first few months of 2017 generated significant leasing activity throughout our highly-diversified retail portfolio and, most notably, within our retail holdings that are housed in mixed-use environments,” he said, noting that the trend began last year.

Olshan reported the signing of several new tenants at The Greene Town Center in Dayton, Ohio, including J.Crew Mercantile, Integritas Shoes, The Walking Company and home decor tenants, Griffin & Company and Blinded by Aerolux. Coming soon: new concept Deg’s Flame Grilled Chicken.

At Milwaukee’s Bayshore Town Center, construction will begin this year on 5,000 sq. ft. of space to replace a closed Sears. Total Wine & More will be one of the new tenants.

A number of deals were closed at The Shoppes at Webb Gin outside of Atlanta. New leases are H&M, Rivet Boys Clothing and Accessories Shop, The Diner at Webb Gin, and Gym Source.

“Olshan is committed to creating and implementing innovative initiatives to promote the properties we own and operate nationwide,” said Lynn Meredith, executive director of marketing and operations.
