NRTA names Founders Award recipient

East Longmeadow, Mass. The National Retail Tenants Association said it has named Mez Birdie the recipient of the NRTA Founders Award.

Birdie, director of retail and investments services for Longwood, Fla.-based NAI Realvest, was presented the award during the NRTA's annual conference held in September.

NRTA executive director and NRTA co-founder Paul Kinney said the award is intended to recognize a professional in the lease administration or related profession who has made significant contributions and achievements to the occupancy management profession.

Birdie has been a member of the NRTA since 1998, and has been an active participant of NRTA leadership committees, and a curriculum presenter for many years. He is a certified commercial investment professional and certified property manager.
