9/29/2010

Purchase, N.Y. National Realty & Development Corp. (NRDC) in conjunction with The Borough of Somerdale, N.J., has been selected to receive the Public Private Partnership in Economic Development Award from the Camden County Improvement Authority for the redevelopment of CooperTowne Center in Somerdale, N.J.

The award is based on the contributions and advancements given to the Southern New Jersey region by bringing new employment and an increased quality of life for its residents.

“National Realty & Development Corp. and the Borough of Somerdale have been working in tandem for over seven years on this project,” said John Orrico, president of NRDC. “The redevelopment of the center has brought over 500 new jobs to the area and created over $1 million in tax revenue. Our vision, and that of Mayor Gary Passanante of Somerdale, was not only to build a shopping center but provide a community destination for its shoppers, featuring a true town center.”
