Nordstrom Rack to expand in N.C., Calif.

Seattle Nordstrom announced plans to open a discount Nordstrom Rack store in south Charlotte, N.C., and Redondo Beach, Calif.

The 43,000-sq.-ft. Charlotte location, slated to open in spring 2011, will be at the Carolina Pavilion shopping center. It is the second Nordstrom Rack planned for North Carolina. The first is slated to open in September in Durham.

The company also announced that a Nordstrom Rack is scheduled to open in Redondo Beach, Calif., at South Bay Center. The 35,000-sq.-ft. store is scheduled to open in fall 2011.
