New Greek restaurant to open at Dolphin Mall

Miami Taverna Opa is slated to open at Miami’s Dolphin Mall in fall 2009. The Greek family-style restaurant will open a 6,000-sq.-ft. venue in the mall’s Ramblas Plaza.

The original Taverna Opa opened in Hollywood, Fla., in 1998. Taverna Opa will now have six franchise restaurants throughout Florida: Hollywood, South Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando along with two franchises owned by veteran restaurateur Lirim Jacobi, who opened Taverna Opa at West Palm Beach’s CityPlace in September 2008, and the Dolphin Mall, West Miami-Dade, scheduled to open this fall.
