More retailers named for American Dream

9/25/2015

American Dream has added more fire power to its retail lineup.

The Triple Five Group of Companies, the developer of the long-delayed retail and entertainment mega-center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Monday announced the names of 10 new retail tenants who will be setting up shop there. These include: Aritzia, Banana Republic, Gap, Lululemon, Mac, Microsoft, Pink, Uniqlo, Victoria's Secret and Zara.

The announcement follows the news that Hudson's Bay Company will open its three U.S. store brands — Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor and Saks Off 5th — at the center.

“This is just the beginning of the promise we made to build the world's greatest shopping, entertainment and dining destination,” said Don Ghermezian, president, Triple Five. “The New York metropolitan market demands the best. That is what we will deliver. American Dream will redefine retail and set the standard for what customer experience looks like moving forward."

American Dream is expected to open toward the end of summer 2017, which is more than 10 years after construction first started on the project.

Phase one of the center will house approximately three million square feet of shopping, entertainment and attractions.
