M&M’s World makes European debut, in London

7/20/2011

New York City -- M&M’s World has made its European debut, opening a 35,000-sq.-ft. store in London’s busy Leicester Square.

Similar to M&M’s New York City flagship in Times Square, the four-level London space is adorned with life-size replicas of different characters of the brand and features a “Wall of Chocolate,” with over 100 clear tube dispensers containing 22 varieties of M&M candies, allowing customers to create their own selection. In a nod to its London locale, the space also boasts a Union Jack made out of M&M’s logos and a London double-decker bus with large interactive screens.

In the middle of the store, a gigantic sweeping red staircase is illuminated by a unique, multi-colored M&M’S like ‘lentil’ tiered chandelier.
