Minnesota mall retools food hall concept with local flair

Minnesota’s Rosedale Center announced plans to open Potluck, a new food hall celebrating the local culinary scene.

A rotating collection of Minnesotan restaurants and food retailers will be centralized in one location – the same space which housed the much-anticipated Revolution Hall that lasted only eight months. The 32,000-sq.-ft., open-concept culinary marketplace comprising several mini-restaurants operating out of one kitchen closed in July.

Potluck will include Grand Ole Creamery; Smack Shack; Nordic Waffles (a much-buzzed-about Minnesota State Fair vendor opening their first retail location); cult-favorite Burger Dive; local celebrity chef Justin Sutherland's Obachan Noodles & Chicken and Chickpea, and Betty & Earl’s,a new concept from local media personality Jason Matheson and pastry chef Adrienne Odom.

“Food halls are dominating the conversation in retail and mixed-use development,” said Lisa Crain, Senior general manager of Rosedale Center. “In response to the market and our 14 million shoppers annually, we are proud to offer this phenomenal collection of the top chefs, best food, and newest concepts to the market.”

Rosedale Center, one of the three “dale” centers built by Dayton-Hudson Corporation, is managed by JLL.
