Miami Beach’s eight-block landmark shopping district expansion announced

8/11/2015

Miami -- Terranova, Lincoln Road shopping district’s largest property owner, released redevelopment plans to activate Lincoln Lane North by developing 723 North Lincoln Lane and 801 Lincoln road buildings. These buildings are part of Miami, Florida’s eight-block retail, dining and entertainment district located blocks from Miami Beaches.

Construction recently began on the vertical expansion of 723 North Lincoln Lane, a building just north of Lincoln Road and abutting Macy’s on 17th Street, three new stories totaling close to 38,500 sq. ft. Marshalls will be the anchor of the new building, taking 28,550 sq. ft., on the second and third floors and a portion of the ground floor.

Redevelopment of 801 Lincoln Road building, which sits on the hard corner of Meridian Avenue north of Lincoln Road, will begin later this year. The redevelopment will include new storefronts that will open to Lincoln Lane, activating that alleyway with new retail activity. When complete the building will total over 23,000 sq. ft. on three floors, including an 8,767-sq.-ft. third-floor space with an outdoor seating option overlooking Lincoln Road. Anthropologie will relocate and open in a nearly 12,000-sq.-ft. space fall 2016.
