The largest proposed mall and entertainment center in North America has been granted its first approval.
The comphrehensive master plan of the massive, 6.2 million-sq.-ft. American Dream Miami project won preliminary approval from the Miami-Dade County Commission, reported
The Real Deal. As developed by Triple Five, the new center would be a larger version of Mall of America, Bloomington, Minn., which Triple Five also owns. In addition to shopping and entertainment space, including several amusement parks, the new center would have some 2,000 hotel rooms. Estimates are it would cost upwards of $3 billion.
