MaxMart to open at MacArthur Towne Center

Allentown, Pa. Schottenstein Property Group announced that MaxMart, a new concept discount apparel retailer will open at the former Barnes & Noble location in MacArthur Towne Center in Allentown, Pa.

SRS Real Estate Partners, which represented both Barnes & Noble in the lease termination and Schottenstein Property Group in the lease to MaxMart, said that the 19,937-sq.-ft. MaxMart is expected to open in July. The retail store will be the first for the wholesaler of casual apparel, which also plans to open four to five locations in north and central New Jersey, northern Pennsylvania and possibly the Philadelphia area.

Kmart, Signature Furniture, Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, and Party City already have stores in the 230,000-sq.-ft. center.
